Annie was a very special person, time with her was too short. She always had a kind word to say, and I could call her any time day or night to get advise, or just to talk. Most people are not fortunate enough to have a good relationship with their Mother in law, I did~I was truly blessed. I will miss her.

    Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped away into the next room,
    I am I and you are you;
Whatever we were to each other, That we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used,
Put no difference in your tone,
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we shared together.
Let my name ever be the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant,
It is the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
    All is well.
    -Henry Scott Holland

Annie was not only Todd’s soul mate but to many of us part of our family. Even though her light is not going to be able to shine on us with her presence, her light will always be with us to guide us and turn away the darkness. To Todd and All of Annie’s Family,
I knew Annie for only a few months but she touched my heart like someone I had known for years. It is rare to find a friend like her. She was like a brilliant, rare & precious diamond in a world full of dull and uncaring people. I know she is in heaven smiling down at us, giving out fairy kisses to everyone and providing the best ’bratty’ comments to liven up the place! Annie touched all of us regardless if we knew her for years, months or mere weeks. She is and always will be a bright, shining star in our hearts and minds that will never fade.

    For “Faithy”
    THE BROKEN CHAIN

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name,

In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone,

For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,

And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,

But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back
or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left.

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
or you can be full of the love you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she’s gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
or you can do what she’d want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

    Recie,

I am sooooo sorry to hear of your loss. I know that the Lord is with you, and he will help you through this rough time. When Mom died I found a saying that really helped me thru:

God never closes one door without opening another.

When the times get hard just remember that.

    Love and Miss you,

    Penny Willett (Hutchison)

While I wasn’t an insider in their vast circle of friends, I admired Todd and Annie. You can see a strong relationship, strong values and warm hearts from a mile away. Annie will be missed and my thoughts and prayers are with Todd and the rest of the family who will suffer greatly the loss of the in-the-flesh version of the anchor of their love.

This day we are gathered for one who has died
Dearly departed, but don’t ya dare cry
I be goin’ ta heav’n in the great blue sky
This may be so long but it isn’t goodbye
Remember what was but don’t mourn for what’s gone
Stike up the band and stay up ’till the dawn
Your life’s not over, there’s fun to be had
So pour ye a pint and smile instead
Lift your glass high for the soul who’s set free
The Irish in me be drinkin’ with ye

Let us not mourn our friends death, but celebrate her life and her legacy.

    Native America Prayer

Do not stand at my bier and weep,
I am not there. I do not sleep,
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush of
    Quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
    Do not stand at my bier and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.

This pryaer reminds us of Annie because of her pure love and love of life. Her love will continue to shine within all of us that knew her. Her journey has not ended. Our love, prayers, and support goes out to Todd and his family.
